Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Schedule: 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the following week

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week assignment on a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) floor in DeRidder Louisiana.

The facility is a community-owned not-for-profit 49-bed hospital providing care to medical and surgical patients with occasional pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a hospital setting and providing compassionate patient-centered nursing care during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
• Monitor patients conditions and report changes to the appropriate healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments within the scope of LPN practice.
• Assist with patient assessments daily care and documentation.
• Collaborate with RNs physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow hospital policies.
• Deliver safe compassionate care to adult patients and occasionally pediatric patients.
• Adapt to a rotating schedule of 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next.

Requirements

• Active Louisiana LPN license or eligibility to practice in Louisiana.
• Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Strong communication documentation and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment.
