Role Description

ID Tech Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician for a full-time field-based position serving clients throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area and surrounding region.

The role focuses primarily on servicing diagnosing and troubleshooting low-voltage communications and physical security systems along with smaller installation projects.

We are looking for a reliable proactive and resourceful technician who can work independently think critically and take a practical solution-oriented approach to resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot maintain and repair low-voltage systems including CCTV access control burglar alarms phone systems and audio/video systems.
• Perform low-voltage cabling work small installations and system upgrades as needed
• Diagnose technical issues and determine practical and efficient solutions.
• Proactively assess what needs to be done and take appropriate action to restore system functionality and resolve client concerns.
• Test systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality and verify that issues have been resolved.
• Travel to client locations throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area and surrounding region
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members regarding technical and service issues findings solutions and completed work
• Maintain accurate documentation of service and installation work

Work Schedule:

• MondayThursday: 8:00 AM5:00 PM or 9:00 AM6:00 PM EST
• Friday: 8:00 AM3:00 PM EST

Requirements:

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in the low-voltage industry including installation maintenance or servicing of low-voltage systems.
• 3 years of hands-on troubleshooting experience across various low-voltage systems including phone systems audio/video systems burglar alarms and access control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting analytical critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical and efficient solutions.
• Resourceful and proactive approach to resolving technical issues with the ability to think outside the box when needed.
• Ability to work independently in the field exercise sound judgment and take ownership of assigned work.
• Reliable dependable and committed to completing work efficiently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients understand their concerns and communicate solutions clearly.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
• Valid drivers license
• Ability and willingness to travel to client sites throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area and surrounding region
• Relevant low-voltage certifications technical training or a degree in a related field is a plus
