Job Summary
Ascension Lutheran Early Childhood Center (ALECC) is looking for a warm nurturing and dependable Infant Teacher to join our team as a temporary long-term substitute covering a leave of absence. This position will begin around October 2026 and will continue through approximately March 2027.
This is a seasonal part-time non-exempt position for approximately 40 hours per week Monday - Friday.

Our Infant Teachers play an important role in creating a safe loving and engaging environment where our youngest children can learn grow and feel secure. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with infants and understands the importance of responsive attentive care during these early years.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing loving attentive and developmentally appropriate care for infants
- Creating a safe nurturing and engaging classroom environment
- Following individual feeding sleeping and care routines
- Supporting infants social emotional physical and cognitive development
- Communicating regularly and positively with families
- Working collaboratively with co-teachers and other members of our teaching team
- Maintaining a clean organized and welcoming classroom
- Following all ALECC policies procedures and licensing requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with infants or young children
- Is patient dependable nurturing and energetic
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Communicates professionally and effectively with families and coworkers
- Is committed to providing high-quality care and creating meaningful relationships with children
