Long-Term Substitute -Guidance Counselor

Attleboro High School

Start date: August 25 2026(with orientation days prior)

Salary - Massachusetts Certified Teacher Per Diem Rate $230.00 per day

1. Assists students and families in developing the students four-year high school educational plans.
2. Assists students and families with all facets of college and post-secondary planning.
3. Helps students with course selection.
4. Establishes and maintains positive and ongoing communication with administration teachers families and community through multi-modal means.
5. Meets with students families and staff for purposes of planning for the students success in the following areas: personal academic career/vocational and college planning.
6. Formulates intervention plans for at- risk students.
7. Supports school-wide initiatives.
8. Provides information to all students and families through individual and group planning and collaborates with the appropriate school- based professionals.
9. Demonstrates knowledge and use of pertinent technologies social media and computer programs. ASPEN Naviance and Google experience is required.
10. Participates in team meetings including but not limited to 504 or Special Education team meetings
11. Performs other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by the Assistant Principal and Guidance Coordinator.
