Long Term Substitute General Music and Band Grades 1-8

-Teach elementary general music (grades 15) and middle school (grades 6-8) band electives using school-provided curricula and lesson plans. -Collaborate with the drama department to help prepare 3rd-5th grade students for their performances using pre-recorded music and choreography videos. -Control the sound system and music for grade level shows.-Maintain a safe positive and productive classroom environment through effective classroom management and consistent enforcement of classroom expectations. -Cultivate leadership opportunities for pathway scholars within the Beginning Band program-Foster a welcoming and accepting classroom that prioritizes kindness and creativity while also maintaining high standards and musicianship.-Attend Elective/Enrichment team meetings to maintain continuity with the instructional team.-Keep accurate records of student work academic progress participation and preparedness and communicate student grades to the Director of Fine Arts weekly.
