Long-Term Substitute Elementary Special Education Teacher

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton School District is seeking a caring outgoing and transformative Elementary Special Education Long-Term Substitute Teacher. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching special education with a background working with at-risk students and experiential learning. This position will last approximately from 10/2/2026 through 1/5/2027.

• Facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills
• Collaborate and work withfellow teachers to provide the best growth and opportunities for students
• Create a flexible safelearning environment that is conducive to individualized and small group learning
• Provide feedback to students parents and administration regarding student progress expectations goals etc.
• Documentteaching and student progress/activities/outcomes
• Understand and utilize district technologies to support learningfor students
• Other responsibilitiesassigned by the supervisor

• Thorough knowledge of standard office equipment and software

• Proven skill in forming building and maintaining positive relationships

• Knowledge of Infinite Campus and Educlimber preferred

• BA/BS in Education
• PELSB License:
• 125 Continuing Education Units every five years

This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing frequently requires standing walking sitting and using hands to finger handle or feel and occasionally requires stooping kneeling crouching or crawling pushing or pulling and lifting; work requires close vision and distance vision; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment and Exposure to bodily fluids; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office light traffic).
