Job Title: Logistics Technician III
Location: Fairport NY 14450
Duration: 183 days
Shift Timings: Monday - Friday Full-Time ** B Shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm EST
Note: Interview: 30-minute phone interview. 6 month anticipated assignment. Possibility of extension based on demand. Drivers license required.
Summary of Job:
Responsible for assisting in the completion of production administrative work building sanitation and logistic tasks. Applies training and skills to perform various tasks that support production. Trains others in operations techniques and skills.
Must-have/Required skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years work experience
- Ability to perform operations in compliance with work instructions
- Ability to complete production logistics by moving and transacting information through production systems
- Ability to perform building sanitation tasks and maintain a clean work environment
- Ability to prepare material for operations and/or logistical tasks
- Ability to interface with plant systems (e.g. document control manufacturing execution system)
- Effective communication skills and ability to update/maintain records as needed
- Ability to train others in responsibilities
- Ability to perform van runs between Fairport buildings (Building 57 & Building 430) to support operational needs
- Ability to utilize Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and mobile racking for picking
- Ability to operate manual pallet jacks and carts to move materials safely and efficiently
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with required personal protective equipment including safety shoes safety glasses and cleanroom garments
- Ability to frequently lift or move materials up to 5 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift or move materials up to 15 pounds
- Ability to rarely lift or move materials more than 25 pounds
Nice-to-have skills:
- No manufacturing experience required though applicable experience in a transferrable field desired (examples include shipping & warehouse experience)
- Experience with SAP is desired but not required
