Keep things moving smoothly at Marvin! Were hiring a Logistics Manager to lead logistics shipping fleet operations and delivery-related customer service this role youll partner with Enterprise Logistics Production and Purchasing teams to achieve delivery goals. Youll be responsible for route optimization asset utilization driver and fleet management and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety quality cost and customer experience.
Youll succeed in this role if you bring strong distribution and logistics leadership experience a track record of managing drivers and fleet operations and the ability to balance service efficiency and compliance. Experience with transportation technology process improvement and cross-functional collaboration will help this leader make a meaningful impact across the business.
This position is an in office position located at our Kansas City office.
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $82000-$120000/year
- Lead physical distribution operations including shipping driver dispatch fleet maintenance and delivery-related customer service functions.
- Manage and mentor the Driver Dispatch Supervisor while providing leadership for company drivers and fleet operations.
- Partner with Enterprise Logistics Production Purchasing customers suppliers and corporate teams to meet delivery goals and optimize transportation strategies.
- Ensure effective utilization of routes trucks trailers and other logistics assets while maintaining high service levels and cost efficiency.
- Lead improvement projects focused on safety quality cost reduction and customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with all local state and federal DOT regulations while monitoring service performance across Marvin drivers and third-party carriers
- 5-10 years of distribution or logistics experience preferably within an industrial consumer products environment.
- 3 years of people leadership experience including driver supervision and fleet management.
- Experience with just-in-time material flow MRPII systems logistics simulation software and project management.
- Working knowledge of electronic logging device (ELD) platforms and route optimization software such as Samsara or similar programs.
- Ability to develop budgets support capacity planning and drive operational improvements across logistics functions.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
- Experience collaborating with third-party transportation providers to support load coverage and service performance.
- Knowledge of inventory management material handling and transportation best practices.
- APICS CPIM or other relevant supply chain certifications.
- Experience implementing logistics transportation or fleet-related process improvements.
