Job Summary
You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Industrial Support Department Waterfront Operations (WFO) Division of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
- You will provide research analysis of shipboard configuration. Based on configuration analysis and review take appropriate action to correct configuration and logistical support.
- You will identify material and equipment necessary for shipboard repair and/or replacement.
- You will participate in meetings and conferences pertaining to configuration and material support.
- You will submit Purchase Orders (PO) listing part requirements for purchase either NSN or Part Number requirements based on received quotes from vendors and Original Equipment Manufacturers companies for approval by respective ship project manager.
- You will analyze track expedite and mitigate any errors cancellations or back-order statuses as applicable.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following: 1) Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/effective recommendations based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders; 2) Defined as the technical and management activities conducted to develop and deliver required system support to ensure achievement of warfighter required performance capabilities while minimizing support costs logistics footprint and providing the user with the resources to sustain the system in the field; 3) Defined as the total life-cycle systems management of program support and sustainment activities to translate force provider-specified performance criteria and associated outcome metrics for defense system operational availability and readiness into affordable total system/total life-cycle support performance capabilities. Oversight of defense system logistics support planning and execution extends business case analyses to cross-program logistics infrastructure considerations; 4) Integrates and controls various forms of life-cycle technical/product data. Technical/product data range from requirements and specifications used in design and procurement to maintenance manuals and parts lists used in sustainment. All aspects of defense systems incorporate technical/product data and require technical/product data management; 5) The ability to select acquire store or distribute an organizations resources in the most efficient way possible. Such resources may include materials equipment financial resources inventory human skills production resources or information technology (IT); 6) Manages programs and fosters an environment that administers all resources in a manner that instills public trust while accomplishing the mission. Monitors progress and evaluate outcomes to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality timely and cost-effective results. Determines objectives sets priorities and ensures sound management processes and procedures are in place ensuring that national interests are well served. Accepts responsibility for mistakes. Complies with established control systems and rules.

In lieu of specialized experience you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.

Possession of an LL.M. if related.
