The primary purpose of this position is: Serves as DRU Base Support Plan (BSP) Manager supporting the
USAF A Superintendent Wing Commander Wing staff agencies group and squadron units. Primary emphasis is on the integration of multiple asset personnel and capability reporting.
- Oversees the development and updating of the USAF Academy (USAF A) Base Support Plan (BSP) at the DRU and Wing level.
- Manages the DRU War Reserve Material (WRM) program. Resolves WRM program issues and planning problems. Trains and delegates squadron WRM managers as required.
- Serves as Assistant DRU Support Agreement Manager (SAM). Prepares/Administers inter- and intra-service support agreements as the Assistant Command Support Agreement Manager (SAM).
- Performs special projects and additional duties. Independently prepares reports and supporting documents on a variety of logistics topics and brief material to senior logistics personnel.

- May be required to perform other duties in support of extended mission requirements based on the scope of the squadron mission during times of conflict or staffing shortages.

- May be required to perform duties in support of the READY program including performing escort duties ID checks and other duties as required.
In order to qualify you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions
Logistics Management Series 0346.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09 or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes; Knowledge of a wide range of base support planning war reserve material management and intra-and inter-service support agreement management concepts principles and practices of a logistics management occupation such as would be gained through extended study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments up to and through the command level. A comprehensive intensive practical knowledge of a logistics management career field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods approaches or procedures.

EDUCATION: Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. if related in a field which demonstrates the knowledge skills and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts
.FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge skills abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of AEF deliberate and crisis action planning process to support contingency plans and operations.
2. Ability to interpret standard mission taskings and to develop recommendations to successfully accomplish logistic
processes and assess and improve logistics plans and programs.
3. Knowledge of and the ability to review and analyze logistics principles practices operations and organizations and
provide recommendations and/or solutions to functional area routine and/or complex problems.
4. Ability to apply policies procedures format and process to negotiate and construct host tenant and Defense inter-service support agreements.
5. Ability to effectively communicate with others both orally and in writing to resolve problems answer work-related
questions and facilitate mission accomplishment.
6. Knowledge of the Air Force Security information Program and the applicable regulations governing the protection of
classified information.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.
