Job Responsibilities:

Location: Liberty MO
Magna is seeking a Logistics Area Leader to support material planning inventory management production scheduling and supplier relationships to ensure customer demand is met while maintaining efficient inventory levels and uninterrupted production operations.
Coordinate production schedules releases and forecasts with suppliers and internal teams
Monitor inventory levels and proactively address supply chain risks that could impact production or customer deliveries
Analyze material demand and consumption trends to support production requirements
Work closely with Purchasing Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to support customer requirements
Manage supplier relationships delivery performance and material availability
Maintain ERP MRP and EDI systems to support planning and inventory accuracy
Support continuous improvement initiatives involving inventory management Kanban systems and supply chain optimization
Lead and support material planning inventory analysis and logistics operations
Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management Business Management or a related field preferred
5 years of experience in program planning scheduling logistics or supply chain operations in the automotive industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong knowledge of inventory management Lean Manufacturing Kanban JIT and logistics operations
Experience using ERP MRP/MPS EDI and other supply chain management systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
APICS certification is a plus
Experience with continuous improvement Kanban systems FIFO PFEP or Kaizen activities is preferred
