Log Yard Supervisor

Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking a Frontline Leader for our Badham export facility in Cottageville South Carolina. As a Log Yard Supervisor you will lead safety and environmental performance oversee daily operations and support a team of hourly operators. This salaried exempt role reports to the Export Manager.

Key Functions:

• Lead by example in safety including accident prevention near-miss reporting safety meetings audits inspections and participation in the Health & Safety Program.

• Supervise and support the team by resolving issues fostering teamwork and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.

• Ensure all site environmental program requirements are met.

• Develop team capabilities to achieve operational excellence in safety reliability cost and quality while meeting customer expectations.

• Plan coordinate and supervise daily production and maintenance activities including work with vendors and contractors.

• Provide ongoing coaching feedback and performance management.

• Manage administrative responsibilities using systems such as Outlook Microsoft Suite Programs (Word Excel and etc) Payroll System and other company specific computer programs and systems.

• Coordinate inbound log flow yard processing and outbound container shipping with internal teams and external partners.

• Bachelors degree in forestry Marketing Business Maintenance or related field with 3 years of relevant experience OR 10 years of related experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety with knowledge of industrial safety practices and OSHA requirements.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer systems.

• Ability to plan organize and manage multiple activities and priorities.

• Knowledge of container shipping/exporting operations.

• Strong initiative problem-solving ability and innovation mindset.

• Exceptional communication skills - written oral and listening.

• Excellent teamworking skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a Log Yard.

• Experience managing an hourly workforce.

• 5 years of leadership experience.

• Experience with UKG.

What We Offer:

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program and we are targeting a salary range of $82533-$123800 based on your level of skills qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program which offers a cash bonus targeting 7%of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation:We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
