Locum Optometry Physician

**Position Overview: Medical Optometry Physician**

- **Contract Length:** Immediate start 3-month engagement with a strong potential for extension.

- **Practice Setting:** Outpatient clinic environment.

- **Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM totaling 40 hours per week.

- **Clinical Duties:** - Conduct routine eye examinations.

- Perform contact lens fittings.

- Manage eye urgencies and emergencies.

- Provide comprehensive medical optometry care.

- Address red eye conditions.

- Patient demographics include ages 4 and above necessitating frequent dilation.

- Note: Surgical procedures are not part of this role. Experience with specialty contact lenses is preferred but not mandatory.

- **Call Requirements:** No on-call duties are expected.

- **Patient Load:** Anticipated caseload of approximately 18 scheduled patients per day.

- **Team Structure:** Supported by a full complement of administrative and clinical staff.

- **Electronic Medical Record System:** EPIC.

- **Required Certifications:** Board Certification current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

- **Licensure:** Active California state license is mandatory.
