Locum Nurse Practitioner Cardiology

**Patient Population:** Adults and geriatric patients

**Outpatient vs. Inpatient Care:** 100% inpatient

**Average Patient Volume:** Varies based on hospital capacity generally ranging from 10-15 patients per day

**Required Duties and Skills:** - Provide inpatient cardiology care as an Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) functioning independently alongside an Interventional Cardiologist

- Responsibilities will include managing new admissions conducting follow-ups patient rounding documentation discharge planning and care coordination

**EMR/Documentation System:** EPIC

**Credentialing Information:** - **Estimated Credentialing Timeframe:** ASAP

- **Temporary Privileges Available:** Yes

**Travel and Logistics:**

- **Approved Reimbursements:** Airfare lodging and mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate

Qualifications

- **Board Certification:** Must be Board Certified

- **Required Specialty Certification:** Advanced Practice NP

- **Open to New Graduate Candidates** No

**Licensing and Certifications Required:** - **Active Virginia License:

**Experience Requirements:** Minimum of 2 years in a relevant clinical setting

**Malpractice Limitations:** Clean background with no history of malpractice or license-related issues; no exceptions

**Shift Description:** - Weekly shifts from 9/8/2026 Monday through Friday 0730 - 1630 with first call duty required for weeknights and weekends

**Mandated Job Requirements:**
