Locum Cardiothoracic Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA)NP

**Specialty:** Cardiothoracic / Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA)

**Reason for Coverage:** New program/recruiting for a permanent position

**Coverage Dates:** ASAP up to one year

**Setting:** Operating Room ICU Clinic

**Shift/Schedule Expectations:** Primarily Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. First assist 1-2 days per week with rounding on patients in the CTICU and CVICU post-operatively for 3-4 days per week.

**Daily Responsibilities:** Experience in CT Surgery with robotics CV Surgery with vein harvesting and RVH is preferred.

**Call Schedule/Responsibilities:** Once acclimated the call schedule will follow a 1:6 rotation for both weekdays and weekends.

**Patient Volume/Census:** Estimated volume: 2 cases for CT Surgery as a first assist and 4-6 cases for CV Surgery. Rounding involves 2 patients the next day for CT surgery and 3-6 for post-operative care in the ICU.

**EMR:** EPIC

**Credentialing Timeframe:** Approximately 60 days from the submission of the application.

**Certifications Required/Accepted:** Board Certified American Heart Association.

**State Licensure:** Yes licensing will be considered. The provider will need to acquire licenses for both Oregon and Washington. While patient care and cases will primarily be in Oregon some follow-up appointments (conducted via telehealth) may involve patients located in Washington.

**Availability of Temp Positions:** Yes with an estimated availability of 45 days.
