EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Locksmith Monday Friday 8:30am 4:30pm at our National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) project in College Park Md (NARA II). This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

The responsibilities of personnel in this position include but are not limited to:
Repairing key locksets
Fabricating and replicating keys
Opening key locksets; Installing performing maintenance repairing replacing removing opening and resetting of mechanical electronic combination cipher locks electronic card locks and electronic security systems to include replacing lockset batteries when necessary
Unlocking buildings safes vaults file cabinets desks lockers (with or without combination or key) etc. to gain access when authorized; and Performing improvement alteration and adaptation of locking devices and systems.

Qualifications:

Certified and bonded by both D.C. and the State of Maryland.

Ability to speak read and write in English is highly desirable.

Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to walk for extended periods; required to sit; use hands to finger handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and test or smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
