Abilene Water Service is looking for a dependable hardworking Delivery Driver / Route Driver to join our team.

This is an active physically demanding position delivering bottled water salt and other products to homes and businesses throughout Abilene and the surrounding area. Youll spend your day driving local routes lifting and delivering products building relationships with customers and taking ownership of your work.

• Deliver 5-gallon water bottles (42 lbs.) 3-gallon bottles (25 lbs.) 50-lb bags of salt and other products

• Repeatedly lift carry load and unload products throughout the workday

• Drive established local delivery routes and provide dependable service

• Load and organize your truck for efficient daily deliveries

• Build positive relationships with residential and commercial customers

• Complete delivery records using a tablet or handwritten tickets

• Clean sanitize and prepare water coolers for delivery

• Maintain a clean organized delivery vehicle and work area

• Assist with shop duties and support teammates when needed

• Earn commission opportunities by securing qualifying new customers along your route

• Follow company safety procedures and take care of customer property

Experience in delivery warehouse operations beverage distribution moving landscaping construction or other physically demanding work is a plus but not required.

• Valid drivers license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• Ability to repeatedly lift carry load and unload 42-lb water bottles and 50-lb salt bags throughout the workday with or without reasonable accommodation

• Ability to occasionally handle items weighing up to 80 lbs.

• Ability to repeatedly enter and exit a delivery vehicle throughout the day

• Strong attendance punctuality and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage an assigned route

• Ability to pass required background check drug screening WorkSTEPS physical assessment and pre-employment assessments
