Help guide the work that moves Lakeside Middle School forward

Middle school is a time of transition growth and constant adjustment for students and staff. The School Improvement Team helps turn building goals into practical work by looking at student data supporting professional learning strengthening instructional systems and connecting decisions across grade levels and content areas. This role is for certificated staff who want to collaborate with colleagues support building-wide improvement and help keep student learning at the center of the work.

Terms of Employment and Salary
As outlined by and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) of Nine Mile Falls Education Association (NMEA) and the Policies and Procedures of Nine Mile Falls School District. Stipend: $1676 for the school year paid in accordance with the NMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement Appendix B Supplemental Salary Schedule.

Work Location:Lakeside Middle School

Nature and Scope of Job
This is a supplemental position to be filled by a current certificated staff member at Lakeside Middle School. The SIP Team evaluates student data plans and leads building professional development and communicates building goals among content and grade level teams.

Position Reports To:Heather Gamboa

Employment Period: 2026/27 School Year

Primary Job Functions

  • Actively participate in SIP Team meetings.
  • Review student data and help identify areas for instructional growth.
  • Help establish building goals benchmarks and next steps aligned to the school improvement process.
  • Help plan and support building-wide professional development.
  • Communicate SIP Team plans and priorities with grade-level and content colleagues.
  • Support curriculum instruction and assessment conversations connected to building improvement goals.
  • Assist with SIP-related planning and budget considerations as applicable.

Contract Term: Continuing Replacement Supplemental

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

  • Current certificated staff member at Lakeside Middle School.

Desired Qualifications

  • Interest in instructional leadership professional development curriculum assessment and school improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and communicate building-level goals clearly.
  • Ability to represent the needs of grade-level and/or content-area teams.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
