We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with 5 or more years of civil litigation experience to join a dynamic and collaborative litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to manage sophisticated matters spanning commercial litigation business disputes contract litigation real estate litigation and tort claims. The ideal candidate is a proactive client-focused attorney with strong writing advocacy and case management skills who is comfortable handling all phases of litigation from initial strategy through trial or resolution. Bankruptcy litigation experience is a plus.
- Manage all phases of civil litigation from case inception through resolution or trial.
- Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings mediations arbitrations depositions and hearings.
- Develop litigation strategy assess legal risks and provide practical legal advice to clients.
- Draft pleadings motions briefs discovery requests legal memoranda and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw LexisNexis and other legal research platforms.
- Manage all aspects of discovery including document review interrogatories requests for production depositions and expert coordination.
- Prepare clients witnesses and experts for depositions hearings and trial.
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate case files while ensuring compliance with court rules scheduling orders and litigation deadlines.
- Collaborate with attorneys paralegals and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and strategic legal counsel.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation experience.
- Experience handling commercial litigation contract disputes business litigation real estate litigation tort matters or similar civil litigation cases.
- Strong legal writing research analytical and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience managing multiple active litigation matters simultaneously.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Excellent organizational negotiation and communication skills.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Bankruptcy litigation experience.
- Judicial clerkship experience preferably with a federal court or state appellate court.
- Trial arbitration and mediation experience.
- Experience representing businesses developers financial institutions or commercial clients.
- Strong business development skills and the ability to cultivate long-term client relationships.
- Experience mentoring junior attorneys or legal support staff.
