Job Responsibilities
- Draft and respond to written discovery including interrogatories requests for production and requests for admission
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on wage and hour issues
- Assist with drafting complaints motions (including class certification and dispositive motions) and oppositions
- Review and analyze payroll timekeeping and employment records
- Support deposition preparation and strategy
- Assist with settlement strategy and mediation preparation as needed
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in wage and hour class actions
- Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar
- Strong understanding of California Labor Code IWC Wage Orders and PAGA
- Excellent legal writing and research skills
- Law school journal experience preferred
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote environment
