Location

Sewickley PA (Pittsburgh Area) Join our team in person during your initial onboarding period approximately one month with work-from-home flexibility available afterward.

Note

We are seeking attorneys with 2 years of civil litigation experience strong legal writing skills and hands-on deposition and motion practice experience. Candidates with less experience and substantial insurance defense backgrounds are also encouraged to apply. Insurance defense experience is preferred not required.

Job Description

• Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation and insurance defense matters from investigation through resolution.
• Draft compelling motions pleadings briefs and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions analyze evidence and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive arguments to support client interests.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys while independently managing deadlines and case responsibilities.
• Communicate with clients opposing counsel and other parties to move cases efficiently toward favorable outcomes.
• Participate in hearings negotiations and trial preparation as appropriate.

Qualifications

• 2 years of civil litigation experience preferred; candidates with 2 years and substantial insurance defense experience will be considered.
• Experience with depositions motion practice and substantive legal writing.
• Background in insurance defense general liability workers compensation or plaintiff-side litigation.
• Excellent analytical research organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage litigation responsibilities while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Interest in developing or expanding an insurance defense litigation practice.
