JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities

• Install and maintain infrastructure components in a physical/virtualized Linux Environment.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of all aspects of Linux servers.
• Deployment and migration of applications and Oracle databases.
• Administer troubleshoot and resolve failures and critical alerts on Linux Systems.
• Write and troubleshoot Linux Shell Scripts.
• Fault finding analysis and logging information for reporting of performance exceptions.
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning.
• Manage coordinate and implement software upgrades patches hot fixes on Linux servers.

Key Objectives

• Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.
• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability security efficiency and scalability of the environment.
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
• Documentation of infrastructure architecture processes and operating procedures.

(QUALIFICATIONS Section)

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
• 3-5 years experience in Linux Server administration (Redhat/OEL) in large enterprise environment.
• At least 2 years experience in building and managing Redhat OpenShift based Virtualized environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux: RedHat OEL CentOS etc.
• Knowledge of Commvault Backup and EMC Data Domain.

Preferred Qualifications

• Redhat Linux Certification (RHCSA/RHCT/RHCE).
• Familiarity with HCI VMWare SAN management and Storage concepts.
• Working Knowledge of Shell Perl and/or Python scripting.
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS HTTP LDAP SMTP and SNMP.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of ITSM Tools (Service Now).
