When will I work
- 4/10s Schedule Primary Schedule The primary work hours for this position are 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday with overtime required as needed.

Position located in Brookings SD in our HSPR department.
What will the work look like for me
- You will be expected maintain and role model the standard with the Manufacturing Performance with growth in the Production Line Lead Performance
- Train and develop employees using work instructions leader standard work TWI - Training within Industry Job Instructions One-point lessons and hands on training.
- Foster teamwork and self-improvement through effective communication with employees which includes daily interactions tier meetings etc.
- Monitor work processes including 5S to ensure work is completed following work instructions and standard work and that we are maintaining high quality.
- Responsible for resolving escalations from inventory team or to escalate as appropriate.
- Monitor work process and work place safety. Identify and correct issues before accidents can occur. Enforce and train proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use and safe work practices.
- Follow production plan and additional directions developed by manufacturing leadership to achieve established output and quality.
- Effectively communicate work progress and constraints to Production Team Leader and Supervisor. Assist Production Team Leader in conducting process audits updating visual controls and adjusting as needed.
- Maintain and review inventory productivity metrics.
- Participate in creating work instructions and standard work documents to improve processes.
- Lead daily continuous improvement activities with inventory team and work with team to implement improvements.
- Complete other duties as assigned to meet customer needs.
To be considered for the Line Lead we require the following:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with Glovia Excel Word and Outlook are preferred. Effective keyboard skills preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability required.
- Ability to train and motivate employees.
- Good technical writing and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English written and verbal.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours. Ability to work overtime when workload requires.
- Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include safety glasses safety shoes boots hearing protection and electrostatic discharge wear.
- Physical requirements include the ability to:
- Distinguish and identify wire and paint colors.
- Read fine print with or without the use of corrective lenses.
- Work with odors (solder/paint/solvent/manufacturing odors).
- Lift and carry heavy (up to 50 lbs.) and/or awkward items.
- Stand or sit for the full shift and have full range of motion (including but not limited to bending and lifting) required to perform the job functions.
- Maintain steady hand/eye coordination.
- Reach in all directions and in potentially awkward positions.
- The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground andcomply withthe Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin andmaintainemployment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conductedin accordance withapplicable federal state provincial and local driver license and good driving record. Motor vehicle records will be checked.
