When will I work

• 4/10s Schedule Primary Schedule The primary work hours for this position are 6:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday with overtime required as needed.

Position located in Brookings South Dakota in our HSPR Manufacturing department.

What will the work look like for me

• Oversee operations of work cell during shift:
  • Help ensure safety during shift and immediately escalate concerns brought forward to PTL/Supervisor.
  • Work withteam leadand supervisor to implement action plan to achieve established throughput and quality.
  • Effectively communicate work progress and constraints throughout the shift.
  • Work with team leads supervisors process engineers and plant manager to improve procedures and processes to eliminate waste.
  • Assist in developing training aids to improve processes quality and cycle times.
  • Escalate information to team lead/supervisor as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement through 2SL ideas.
  • Be flexible to Go where the work is to fill openings in the flow line.
  • Help team with implementation of problem-solving efforts daily.
  • Promote and be a key piece in Daktronics Army of Problem Solvers.
• Employee relations to include:
  • Help team lead and supervisor positively reinforce behaviors that the team lead needs to see or hear reoccur to be successful.
  • Work withteam lead/supervisorto ensure proper employee training plan is followed.
  • Train operators to standards as a training partner for work cell.
  • Audit operators work in work cell to ensure work is being performed per standard.
  • Foster teamwork and self-improvement through effective communication with employees. Establish the relationship between quality work customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead by example in all interactions with all coworkers. Effectively help lead the team through positivity/encouragement treating coworkers with respect when assisting with team member needs. Maintain composure in stressful situations and effectively de-escalate situations when needed.
• Assist in evaluating quality issues discovered during production and offer effective solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to learn different tasks quickly and be able to teach tasks to others.
• Be at work on time and maintain good attendance. Be able to work overtime as needed which includes Friday work as business needs require.
• May act asteam leadwhenteam leadis absent.
• Perform other duties as required.

To be considered for Line Lead High Mix Flow Line we require the following:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Computer skills. Excel Word and Outlook are preferred. Effective keyboard skills preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership ability required.
• Ability to train and motivate employees.
• Good technical writing and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English written and verbal.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours. Ability to work overtime when workload requires.
• Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Daktronics Safety Policy and OSHA standards. Items may include safety glasses safety shoes/boots hearing protection and electrostatic discharge wear.
• Physical requirements include the ability to:
  • Ability to operate hand tools.
  • Ability to work around odors including solder paint solvent or general manufacturing odor.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry of up to 35 some areas the ability occasionally to frequently lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
  • The ability to stand for the full 10-hour shift with planned breaks. The duration of standing between breaks varies from 2 hours to 3 ½ hours depending on the work area.
  • Must have steady hand-eye coordination in order to manipulate and place small components.
  • The ability to work from heights including working from ladders and platforms.
  • The ability to reach in all directions (up down side-to-side and diagonal reaching) including some awkward reaching insert components in difficult to reach sections of the product.
