We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn contribute and grow within a fastâpaced hospitality-focused property organization. Golfzon Social is an exciting new Sports Bar and Restaurant anchored by a Golf Lounge with high-tech indoor golf simulators.
Compensation: $18-$21 per hour based on qualifications and experience. Full time employees qualify for medical dental benefits and PTO.
PART-TIME and FULL-TIME positions are available!
Reports to the Director of Food and Beverage and General Manager.
- Line Cook Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
- Assist with food prep tasks as needed to ensure kitchen efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to meet service demands.
- Adapt to kitchen needs by taking on additional tasks during slower periods (e.g. restocking cleaning or prepping).
- Utilizes whole food products eliminating any waste.
- Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns food overages or shortages in a timely manner.
- Follows checklists and daily logs.
- Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
- Ensures proper storage of food items wraps dates and rotates food items.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Must possess high standards of personal hygiene.
- Performs other duties as required by the Kitchen Manager.
- Porter Duties:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces equipment and tools.
- Wash dishes cookware and utensils ensuring they are ready for use.
- Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen Bar Dining Room and dispose of it properly.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors dining area and maintain general cleanliness.
- Thorough cleaning of restrooms.
- Assist with organizing and restocking supplies.
- Always follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Stay busy:
- There is always something to do in the kitchen. Whether its cleaning organizing or prepping for the next rush being proactive is essential.
- No cell phone use during work periods:
- Focus and professionalism are key to maintaining a productive and efficient kitchen. Phones may only be used during breaks or emergencies.
- Be punctual and ready to work in a high-energy team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Frequently stands uses hands talks listens tastes and smells.
- Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
- Occasionally sits climbs balances stoops kneels crouches or crawls.
- Can lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds (team lift).
- Time spent in cold conditions such as a walk-in freezer in subzero temperatures.
- Regularly works in moderate heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate.
- NYC Food Handlers Certification
- ServSafe Food Manager a huge plus
- Basic ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
