Line Cook

The Line Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage Customer Service team at The Point Casino & Hotel!

This position will be reporting to our Executive Sous Chef. With high visibility within the team this individual will have a great opportunity to grow their career as we view hiring as a partnership - everyone invests their time as well as skills to mentor those around them!

JOB SUMMARY:

• Prepares and cooks a la carte and family style meals for guests and employees for the Casino venues.
• Ensure The Point Casino & Hotel is compliant with Port Gamble SKlallam Tribe State of Washington Gambling Commission National Indian Gaming Commission Regulations State/City Health Department Sanitation Codes and our own policies/procedures.
• Communicates professionally with front/back of house staff regarding order answers questions to the best of their ability makes and makes the appropriate alterations to accommodate allergies for the safety of our patrons.
• Collaborates with Chefs to develop new recipes develop techniques and refine presentation.
• Coordinates with the kitchen to use available ingredients to lower operational costs.
• Open to learning new skillsets and motivated to being promoted: preparation of food quality control fine dining and baking.

What Were Looking For:

• 2 years of professional work experience in the Food & Beverage Industry.
• 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED.
• Be The Point Casino & Hotels Brand Ambassador.

Good to Have But Not Required:

• Previous industry experience working at a Casino and/or Hotel.
• Washington State Food Handlers Permit (must be willing to provide within 30 days of employment).
• Class II Gaming License via the Washington State Gambling Commission (must be willing to provide within 30 days of employment).

Please Note: This position requires a Class II Gaming License via the Washington State Gambling order to obtain this youll need to submit a background check and Drug Test (Hair Based that excludes Marijuana) AFTER accepting an offer with us.
