Wherever the future of energy leads Jones Power will be SUMMARYThe Light Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a skid steer and forklift in support of Jones Powers pipe storage staging and yard operations in Carlsbad NM. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the flow and organization of materials on-site ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet our highest safety RESPONSIBILITIESOperate skid steer and forklift safely in yard storage and staging environmentsAssist with offloading racking and organizing pipe and materials per project specificationsSupport pipe stringing loadout and right-of-way (ROW) operations as directedConduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues to supervisionMaintain a clean organized and hazard-free work area at all timesFollow all site-specific safety plans OSHA regulations and Jones Power safety protocolsCoordinate with supervisors operators and spotters to ensure safe material handlingAssist with general yard maintenance and reclamation activities as neededComplete daily logs inspection records and other required documentation accuratelyREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 1 year of verified skid steer and forklift operating experienceValid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)Demonstrated knowledge of safe load handling rigging and spotting proceduresAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environmentsStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyReliable transportation to the Carlsbad NM work siteMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in pipeline construction oil and gas or midstream logisticsFamiliarity with pipe storage yard operations and racking proceduresOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationExperience operating additional light equipment (telehandler man lift etc.)PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularlyProlonged periods of sitting in equipment cabs and standing on uneven terrainExposure to outdoor elements including heat cold dust and noiseAbility to climb bend stoop and kneel as required by field conditions
