Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the District Registered Nurse/Designee the Licensed Vocational Nursewill perform necessary duties of a responsible nature to assist in monitoring the health and welfare ofstudents documenting and maintaining student health information required by Federal/State/Localagencies and providing appropriate care and/or referral for the medically fragile and/or injured student asmay be required.

Requirements / Qualifications

-High School Diploma or equivalent certificate of completion-Graduation from an accredited Vocational Nurses Training program;-One (1) year of job-related experience or equivalent. Previous experience working with severelyhandicapped students in a school setting is highly desirable-Possession of a valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse license.-Possession of a valid Standard First Aid and Cardiopulmonary (CPR) Certificate.-Possession of a valid California Class C Drivers license and proof of vehicle insurance
