As a Licensed Social Worker at River Rock Academy youll help students develop new skills and reach their goals by building strong relationships and providing support through lifes challenges. Youll collaborate with families school districts and a multidisciplinary team to create positive lasting change for every student.

What Youll Need

  • Masters degree in counseling psychology social work behavioral health or a related field and current Pennsylvania certification or licensure as a School Counselor School Psychologist School Social Worker LSW LCSW LPC NCC Licensed Psychologist Psychiatrist or equivalent credential

  • Three to five years of experience supporting youth in educational behavioral health mental health or human services settings

  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations student support services behavioral interventions and mental health systems

  • Strong communication relationship-building leadership problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students families districts and multidisciplinary teams

  • Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices including the ability to identify student triggers implement de-escalation strategies and foster positive student relationships

What Youll Do

  • Guide students through intake orientation and goal setting as they begin at River Rock Academy

  • Provide individual and group counseling crisis intervention and case management for assigned students

  • Document all sessions communications and interventions using the schools systems and complete required progress reports

  • Lead and participate in review meetings prepare and send communications for student attendance progress and discharge planning

  • Work closely with families community agencies and school partners to coordinate supports and help students transition successfully
