Job Summary

TheRoss Manor campus provides three professional levels of care and support forresidents including assistedliving skilledrehabilitation and complete nursing care services. Hourly Rate $30.00 - $35.00
$3000 Hiring Bonus


Ross Manor makes availablean every weekend scheduling option to a nurse in the nursing department; alimited number of these positions will be available for staff to apply to. Thisprogram operates under the following guidelines:

1. In order to beeligible to participate the employee must make a commitment to enroll in theprogram to work every weekend 12hr night shift 12hr day shift or 8hr eveningshift depending on availability of positions.

2. For the purposeof defining this program:

a. For 12hr shifts: the weekend begins on Fridaymorning at 6:00 A.M. and ends on Monday morning at 6:30 A.M.

b. For 8hr evening shift: the weekend begins on Fridayat 2:00pm and ends on Monday at 10:30pm.

3. This will be a 32-36hour position and will have $5 per hour differential for hours worked underthis program.

4. As with alldifferentials this premium differential is not included in the calculation ofovertime holiday or Earned Benefit Time (EBT) pay.

5. Shiftdifferentials are applicable per Ross Manors policy.

6. Employees arepermitted to work additional hours during non-weekend time at their regularbase rate plus any applicable shift differentials as appropriate. Anytimeworked over 40 hours will be paid the overtime rate.

7. Employeesparticipating in this program are allowed to take time off just as any otheremployee however the bonus rate will not be applied to use of Earned BenefitTime; this includes vacation sick time and holidays.

8. Employee time requestsmust be made in writing prior to the next schedule posting and must be approvedby the Director of Nurses. Any time requested after the schedule is posted youare required to find your own coverage and receive approval from the Directorof Nursing Services.

9. If an employees agreementis terminated due to performance attendance or not meeting the programs shiftrequirements we reserve the right to not renew the agreement.

10. First Atlantic Healthcare and/or Ross Manor reservethe right to terminate this program at any time without advanced notice wewill make every effort to provide at least two weeks notice.

11. As you are accepting a position two weeks notice isrequired should you want to be considered for another schedule or shiftassignment.

12. All other First Atlantic Attendance Policies are alsoapplicable.

LPN Job Summary

LPNs work under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) and record all resident interactions to develop thorough documentation about their care. They help prepare residents for procedures and assist with routine recovery care after initial treatment. LPNs usually work with several residents at once and administer care according to a schedule upholding medical routines and procedures.


Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:

  • Monitor residents vitals and record them in their file
  • Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each resident including bathing feeding and dressing
  • Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks such as administering medication
  • Update resident records in a confidential manner
  • Evaluate the residents wellbeing reporting any needs to medical staff
  • Explain treatments and procedures to resident and families
  • Change dressings and bandages ensuring residents are healing properly
  • Move residents from wheelchairs beds and gurneys


Requirements:

  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Currently licensed as an LPN in Maine.
