Inpatient Full-time Weekend Plan

Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue Ft. Worth TX 76104

Physical Therapy department

  • Work hours: Weekend Plan: Full-time 40 hours/week Every Saturday and Sunday (1 weekend off every 13-weeks) 7:00AM-3:30PM as well as 3 days per week 7:30AM to 4:00PM 8-hour shifts with occasional holiday coverage.

What You Will Do

Follow plan for care or appropriate therapeutic intervention to achieve stated goals.

Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.

Documents all aspects of assessment and plan of care in accordance with departmental TJC Medicare and other applicable regulatory guidelines

Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment

Educates patient and family through instruction demonstration and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan safety issues home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs.

Participate in discharge planning for patient.

Attends hospital department and community meetings / educational in-services.

Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration
