Job Summary
The Knappa School District is seeking to fill ONE 6-hour 4 days per week Library/Student Supervision Specialist at Knappa School District.
Title: Library/Student Supervision six hours per day maximum
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent ability to pass competency test OR Two-year college degree.
Supervises: Students
Reports To: Principals and Director of Special Services
1. Operates and maintains electronic computerized circulation and cataloging system for books and other library materials. |
2. Establishes procedures for involving students school staff administrators and library staff in evaluating and selecting materials. |
3. Prepares current materials for display or other placement in the school library. |
4. Assists students with check-out and check-in procedures and use of computers and other equipment in the school library. |
5. Obtains materials pursuant to teacher requests. |
6. Sets standards for library behavior and always supervises students while they are present in the school library. Maintains required records including student attendance. |
7. Trains and supervise student assistants in a variety of routine library tasks. |
8. Prepares purchase orders inspects incoming orders of new books other printed materials and audio-visual software equipment and verifies shipments against purchase orders and order cards. |
9. Takes reasonable precautions to protect equipment materials and facilities. |
10. Labels jackets and stamps library materials and maintain district printing/supplies. |
11. Conducts annual inventory of library materials. Prepares lists of missing/lost books and other library materials and books/materials to be discarded. |
12. Has consistent daily and punctual attendance. |
13. Assist with district technology and troubleshooting Book Fairs and Summer Library. students outside of the library schedule. |
Evaluation: As determined by OSEA contract district policy and regulations.
