Job Summary
This position is located at MWR SGT Yano Library Schofield Barracks Hawaii (island of Oahu).

- Provides technician support by performing a wide variety of direct services to the public: registers patrons charges/discharges materials processes overdues and reserves assists with interlibrary loans and reserves.
- Shelves library materials prepares displays programs activities answers basic reference questions and assists customers in locating materials.
- Provides technical services support in a variety of functions: basic/copy cataloging ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials.
- Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories. Performs simple maintenance on the librarys automated systems.
- Incumbent may perform physical exertion such as long periods of standing bending crouching stooping stretching reaching pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.

- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 para.2.
- Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Incumbent required to work rotating shifts that include nights weekends and holidays.

A qualified candidate must possess the following
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade OR....
- Two years of education above high school OR..
- A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.
