Job Summary
This position is located at the Fort Wainwright Library.

- Incentives will not be paid.
- Registers patrons charges/discharges materials processes overdues and reserves assists with interlibrary loans and reserves and shelves library materials.
- Prepares displays programs activities answers basic reference questions and assists customers in locating materials; and/or provides technical services support in a variety of functions.
- Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.
- Performs simple maintenance on the librarys automated systems.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 Chapter 2.
- Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Incumbent may perform physical exertion such as long periods of standing bending crouching stooping stretching reaching pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
- One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade.
- Two years of education above high school.
- A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.

The first cut-off date will be October 05 2026 with subsequent weekly cut-offs every Tuesday until the position is filled.
