Job Summary

Legislative Affairs Coordinator 0811

Trade association seeks a temporary Legislative Affairs Coordinator to support daily operations for their busy Capitol Hill office.

Responsibilities:
  • Schedule internal meetings and prepare pertinent materials and documents.
  • Handle logistics for onsite events and coalition meetings.
  • Coordinate executive tasks for senior leadership.
  • Track expenditures process invoices and support yearly budget planning alongside senior leadership.
  • Coordinate grassroots program activities and fly-ins.
  • Interact with external building vendors and serve as the point of contact for maintenance needs and tenant requests related to parking and building access.
  • Monitor office inventory and order supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with additional special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effectively manages workload in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Positive professional attitude and ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing environments.
  • Familiarity with standard office policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer and software skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree.
  • Experience in government affairs or with political campaigns.
  • Previous administrative and event planning experience.

Rate: $20 an hour.
