Job Summary
Safar Staffing is seeking an experienced Legacy Systems Programmer specializing in IBM iSeries/AS400 environments.
We are particularly interested in senior professionals with extensive experience maintaining enhancing troubleshooting and modernizing business-critical IBM i applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain complex legacy IBM iSeries applications
- Develop and enhance RPG/RPGLE programs
- Maintain CL/CLLE scripts and processes
- Work with DB2 for i and SQL
- Analyze existing legacy code
- Troubleshoot complex production issues
- Support batch jobs job queues interfaces and scheduled processing
- Develop integrations between legacy and modern systems
- Participate in legacy-system modernization initiatives
- Document applications business logic and technical processes
