Other Conditions: Fall Spring and Summer semesters part-time for lecturer candidate pool non-tenurial assignments as needed contingent on availability of funds satisfactory performance and actual staffing requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach various undergraduate online or graduate level courses in the Dept. of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) including and not limited to:

Undergraduate Online Courses in Fall Spring Summer:

• • CSD432 Phonetics (Fall)
  • CSD436 Intro to Comm Sci & Disorders (Fall)
  • CSD433 Speech and Lang Development (Spring)
  • CSD435 Intro to Clinical Methods in CSD (Spring)
  • CSD431 Anatomy and Physiology (Summer)
  • CSD434 Acoustics and Phychoacoustics (Summer)
  • CSD437 Intro to Audiometry and Auditory Disorders (Summer)
  • CSD438 Statistics

• Maintain at least one office hour per week for each class taught.
• Provide instruction and guidance to meet student learning objectives prepare course syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress.
• Work under supervision of discipline coordinator/division chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
• Student and peer evaluations and self-assessment of teaching effectiveness are required.
• Other scholarly clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Lecturer A Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field from college or university of recognized standing with major work in CSD.
• Demonstrated ability as a teacher.
• Poise and good address for meeting collaborating and conferring with others.

Lecturer B Minimum Qualifications:

Same as Lecturer A with addition of the following:

• Terminal doctoral degree (i.e. PhD or EdD) in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field from an accredited college or university of recognized standing.
• Doctor of Audiology degree from an accredited program in a college or university of recognized standing.
• Demonstrated record of teaching at the undergraduate level.
• Evidence of scholarly or professional activity.

Lecturer C Minimum Qualifications:

Same as Lecturer B with addition of the following:

• Demonstrated record of substantial teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• Extensive scholarly or professional activity.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience teaching online courses.
• Experience in working in a multicultural setting.
