Job Description: The Global Public Health program in Harpur College at Binghamton University invites applications for a full-time lecturer position (non-tenure track) for a term of one year with the possibility of renewal up to three years. Candidates must have a methodological background in epidemiology and biostatistics effective oral and written communication skills an interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Candidates are required to have a PhD in epidemiology or similar field (public health/global health). The lecturer will be part of the core faculty in the Global Public Health program and the primary responsibilities will involve teaching and mentoring. The teaching load is three courses per semester. The successful candidate will teach across multiple Global Public Health topics including GPH core and capstone courses as well as courses in the selected candidates area of expertise relating to Global Public the capstone courses the lecturer will mentor students working collaboratively on original research projects. Demonstrated excellence in teaching courses in global health and/or related fields at the undergraduate level is desirable as well as demonstrated track record of involving undergraduate students in research.
