Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Space Operations Curriculum Developer / Instructor to support mission-critical national security space operations. This position is responsible for the design development coordination and delivery of training programs that ensure operational and support personnel are prepared to execute mission requirements with accuracy consistency and readiness.

The role is responsible for developing and maintaining curriculum lesson materials assessments and scenario-based training aligned with operations procedures mission objectives and customer addition the candidate will provide instructor-led training facilitate learning events and support qualification and readiness activities to ensure personnel are prepared to perform mission monitoring mission status reporting course of action development Launch and Early Operations (LEOPS) anomaly response and other mission support functions.

The candidate will work closely with Government and Contractor personnel to incorporate lessons learned improve training effectiveness and ensure courseware and instruction remain aligned with evolving mission requirements. The ideal candidate combines operational space experience with strong instructional delivery curriculum development and training coordination skills and thrives in a dynamic high-tempo mission environment.


Essential Functions:
Develop update and maintain space operations training curricula for operational and support personnel ensuring alignment with mission requirements system configuration changes operational procedures and customer standards.
Conduct periodic reviews and revisions of training materials lesson plans student guides instructor guides job aids checklists and other training products to ensure accuracy relevance and instructional effectiveness.
Design and apply Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles to create classroom blended and hands-on training solutions for space operations systems and mission activities.
Plan schedule coordinate and deliver formal and informal instruction in classroom lab simulator and operational environments.
Facilitate initial qualification continuation refresher and upgrade training for operators and support personnel.
Lead or support training meetings curriculum working groups operational update briefings exercises strategic planning sessions and tool demonstrations; provide subject matter expertise on system functionality operational workflows and training impacts.
Provide hands-on system instruction and performance-based training to operators and mission support personnel as required.
Maintain proficiency in assigned operational systems mission applications and space operations concepts within the contract portfolio.
Develop training documentation and visual instructional materials including step-by-step procedures system screenshots workflows annotated references and multimedia content to support learning objectives.
Assess training effectiveness through student feedback instructor observations knowledge checks and operational performance indicators; recommend and implement curriculum improvements.
Maintain awareness of system development efforts software/hardware updates and operational changes; update training materials job aids and reference products accordingly.
Support system integration developmental test operational test and transition activities as a user representative and training SME to ensure training requirements are incorporated early in the lifecycle.
Collaborate with operations engineering test and program stakeholders to identify training needs and ensure courseware reflects current operational capabilities and constraints.
Support exercise planning and execution by developing training scenarios operator preparation materials and mission rehearsal content as applicable.
Travel up to 10% in support of training delivery customer meetings integration events and mission-related activities.


Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with SAP eligibility.
Minimum 3 years of experience applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies such as ADDIE or DoD/USSF training development processes to the development and maintenance of technical or operational training programs.
Minimum 3 years of experience in space operations launch and early orbit operations (LEOPS) satellite command and control mission operations or closely related aerospace/defense operations.


Preferred Additional Skills:

Completion of an accredited military or civilian instructor course curriculum development course or equivalent formal instructional certification.
Experience with Satellite Command and Control (Sat C2) operations.
Experience in space mission operations orbital warfare space domain awareness launch operations on-orbit operations or related mission areas.
Experience developing training for classified systems or within secure operational environments.
Familiarity with U.S. Space Force DoD or Intelligence Community training development standards and operational mission sets.
Experience with simulator-based training scenario-based instruction or performance-based evaluations.
Experience supporting new system fielding operational transition or training program stand-up activities.
Proficiency with courseware development tools learning management systems and multimedia training products.
Prior instructor evaluator or certifier experience in an operational mission environment.
Experience developing curriculum lesson plans instructor guides student materials job aids and assessment tools for technical training environments.
Experience delivering instructor-led training to operational technical or mission support audiences.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex system functionality operational procedures and technical concepts into effective training content for adult learners.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present material clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic operational environment with evolving requirements and system baselines.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Florida is $110500 - $205500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
