Starting Salary Range: $18.22-$23.31 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.
Position Summary: The Lead Student Development Specialist supports JCCC mission by providing enrollment expertise and operational support for the Student Development Services team ensuring accurate registration and compliance with FERPA and institutional policies. The incumbent oversees enrollment monitoring resolves complex registration issues and coordinates with special student populations. The position also trains and mentors staff contributing to departmental projects and smooth student enrollment experiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree and 3 years of related experience.

Position detailsinclude but are not limited to:
- Operational Support & Enrollment Assistance Provide day-to-day operational support and expertise to the SDS team by responding to employee questions and issues related to enrollment processes and requirements. Provide registration expertise and troubleshooting for registration errors and other barriers that prevent enrollment. Provide information and clarification on complex topics such as course prerequisites enrollment waivers and academic standing.
- Enrollment Monitoring & Coordination Oversee winter session enrollment monitoring using independent decision-making. Coordinate enrollment with the Admissions Office for special populations such as the Police Academy Railroad Operations Panasonic etc.
- Training & Staff Development Assist with training and mentoring new employees. Contribute to the ongoing development of training materials. Perform the full range of duties associated with the Student Development Specialist role in addition to the lead-level responsibilities.
- Compliance & Documentation Review and verify enrollment-related documentation to ensure accuracy completeness and compliance with FERPA and applicable institutional policies and procedures. Collaborate with the supervisor on administrative initiatives and departmental projects that support students and staff throughout the enrollment lifecycle.
