Job Description:

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Solution Architect to design and oversee the technical migration of a legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM system to a modern cloud-first Microsoft Power Platform environment for the Executive Office of the Governor (EOG).

As the technical authority on this project you will architect a solution that not only meets complex operational requirements (including auditing investigations and executive workflows) but also adheres to the highest levels of government cybersecurity. The ideal candidate possesses dual expertise in enterprise Microsoft Power Platform architecture (PL-600) and advanced information security (CISSP) ensuring the delivered system is scalable efficient and impeccably secure.

Responsibilities:
  • System Architecture & Design: Architect the end-to-end to-be state of the Microsoft Power Platform environment ensuring seamless integration with existing state infrastructure Dataverse and required third-party services.

  • Security & Compliance Leadership: Embed security by design. Ensure the architecture complies with strict state and federal cybersecurity frameworks specifically aligning with the States cloud-first strategy and safeguarding highly sensitive investigative and whistle-blower data.

  • Technical Roadmapping: Translate business requirements gathered by the BA team into actionable technical blueprints data models and workflow automations.

  • Development Oversight: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the Senior Power Platform Developers and Data Migration Engineers conducting code and configuration reviews to ensure architectural integrity.

  • Legacy Modernization: Evaluate the decade-old Dynamics CRM configurations and custom code determining the best path for modernization (e.g. replacing custom legacy code with out-of-the-box Power Platform features or Power Automate flows).

  • Executive Advisement: Serve as the primary technical advisor to EOG stakeholders and the Engagement Lead communicating complex architectural concepts and risk mitigation strategies to non-technical leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Certifications (Required): PL-600 (Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect) CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

  • Experience: 8 years of enterprise IT architecture experience with a proven history of designing and delivering complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.

  • Technical Expertise: Mastery of the Microsoft technology stack including Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven) Power Automate Dataverse Azure integration services and legacy Dynamics CRM infrastructure.

  • Government Familiarity: Extensive experience designing IT systems for public sector clients particularly systems handling classified investigative or highly sensitive confidential information.

  • Clearance/Security: Must be eligible to pass strict background checks
