As aLead Security Engineer withinTargetProactiveSecurity you will take ownershipindesigning building andscaling security solutions tosecureTarget your security and risk management experience you will work across Target technology and business teamsdefinesecurity requirements assess risk and develop mitigation willleverageyour deep engineering and technicalexpertisetoforce-multiplyyourimpactbybuildingnewsecuritysolutionsand influencingacross your peers and partner you willact as a leader within our organization constantly workingtouplevel ourteambymentoringyourteam members in security concepts and engineeringbestpractices.

About You:

Bachelors degree in information securitycomputer science or related field;or related experience

5 years ofengineering experience in one or moreinformationsecurity domains( management threat intelligenceapplication securityincident responserisk management etc.)

Experience definingsecurityrequirements managing findings and mitigating riskacrossdozens of unique business lineshundreds ofdistinctapplications andthousandsof stakeholders

Preferred:

Masters degree in information security computer science or related field;or related experience

10 years of engineering experience in one or more information security domains (e.g. vulnerability management threat intelligenceapplication securityincident response risk management etc.)

Experience designing developing and scaling security solutions that enable developers and technology solutions to be secure-by-default (e.g. auto-patching credential rotation etc.)

Demonstrated experience harmonizing and aligning business needs with securityrequirementsto ensure securitythreats and risksare properlyidentifiedand managed

Executive-levelcommunication skills both verbal and writtencapable of effectively articulating technicaltopics to a wide range of stakeholdersto drive understanding and alignment

Proven ability to own enterprise-widesecurityprojectsor programs ( Management Risk Management etc.) including building project plansidentifyingstakeholders communicating progress and addressing roadblocks

Experience with both on-prem (e.g. bare metal servers firewalls etc.) and cloud-based (e.g. GCP AWS Azure etc.) infrastructure

ExperienceleveragingAI tools (e.g. Claude ChatGPT etc.) tomeasurably improve the effectiveness or operations of a security tool or mechanism

Experience with common security tooling (e.g. SIEM DLP IDS IPSetc.)

Experience with commonsecurity frameworks(e.g. NIST ISO/IEC 27001 PCI-DSS etc.)

Relevantsecurityindustry certifications (e.g. CISSP CISMOSCP etc.)

This position willoperateas a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core rolewill need to beperformedboth onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtuallydepending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
