Position Title: Lead QA

Start Date: 9/28

LOA: 18 months

Location: Remote EST HOURS

Role Overview:

Lead QA role supporting the Data Platform initiative. The resource will primarily focus on data migration testing data validation and reconciliation activities.

The candidate will work on a new migration pod/project from the beginning participating in architecture design BRD discussions and testing activities.

Technical Requirements:

Strong SQL skills are required including writing queries and test cases.

Snowflake is the primary platform being used.

Automation experience is important. The team is exploring automation within Snowflake using Streamlit but candidates with transferable automation experience (e.g. Selenium or similar tools) can be considered.

Leadership Expectations:

Role is expected to be approximately 70% hands-on individual contributor and 30% team leadership/mentoring.

Candidate will oversee and mentor approximately 2-3 junior QA resources in India.

Client prefers candidates with actual lead experience even if only 1-2 years rather than senior QAs looking to transition into leadership for the first time.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Validate back-end data and migration results.

Perform data reconciliation between legacy systems and new platforms.

Develop reconciliation frameworks and validate source-to-target mappings.

Participate in standups sprint ceremonies project meetings and business discussions.

Review offshore team work and provide guidance when needed.

Logistics / Working Expectations:

Team operates on Eastern Time and candidates should be available for meetings starting around 8:00 AM ET..

All internal and project meetings follow a camera-on policy.

Required Qualification:

1. 7 years of experience in QA Data Warehouse Testing ETL Testing or Data Quality Validation.
2. Strong experience with:

4. Databricks
5. Azure Data Factory (ADF)
6. Azure Data Lake
7. SQL
8. Extensive experience in Data Warehouse and ETL/ELT testing.
9. Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture and modern data platforms.
10. Expertise in source-to-target mapping validation and data reconciliation testing.
11. Experience validating complex business rules and data transformations.
12. Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
13. Experience leading QA teams and coordinating testing activities across projects.
14. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Python and PyTest automation experience.
2. Experience with Snowflake Data Quality Monitoring and Data Metric Functions (DMFs).
3. Exposure to Power BI or reporting validation.
4. Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality frameworks.
5. Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
6. Experience developing data quality dashboards and monitoring solutions.
7. Basic exposure to Selenium or UI testing is a plus but not required
