Lead QA Automation Engineer Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer for an On-site position with a Major Financial Institution located in Strongsville OH or Dallas TX. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

Operating in a global delivery model this role brings strategic direction to testing and acts as the subject matter expert for both the quality discipline and a line of business domain. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kafka environments and building automation scripts for end-to-end flow in a BDD framework.

Responsibilities:

• Describe end-to-end data flow in a Kafka environment
• Troubleshoot Kafka messages and events
• Handle lags reset offsets and read Kafka Topics
• Build automation scripts for end-to-end flow in a BDD framework
• Lead the review of testing artifacts throughout the product life-cycle to ensure appropriate sign-off and prioritization of testing work
• Coordinate test strategy scripting and defect resolution
• Take accountability for quality standards in the development implementation and upkeep of test scripts and opportunities for automation

Requirements:

• 8 years of experience leading quality assurance projects/programs
• Experience with data integrity reconciliations and creating transactions
• Strong scripting knowledge and experience with code management (CI/CD pipeline)
• Proven ability to analyze failures in automated test cases
• Experience testing huge volumes of data (millions of records)
• Strong analytical thinking and quality assurance (QA) skills

Desired skills:

• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Karate Cucumber or Rest Assured

Pay range: $40.42 - $48.42 per hour
