Job Summary
Job Summary: The Mechanical Assembly Lead coordinates daily activities within the mechanical assembly area while performing advanced assembly and integration work. This role provides hands-on leadership to Mechanical Assemblers helping the team achieve production quality safety and delivery objectives. The Mechanical Assembly Lead serves as the primary technical resource for complex mechanical assemblies large form-factor builds copper tubing installations fluid systems and troubleshooting Pay Rate: $/hr. Shift: Shift Differential: Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate daily workflow within the assigned manufacturing area to support production schedules and customer advanced mechanical assembly and system integration activities including large form-factor builds copper tubing piping systems valves fittings hoses and fluid management and coordinate work activities to ensure production goals quality standards and schedule commitments are production flow and escalate material quality tooling or staffing concerns as engineering drawings bills of materials work instructions and specifications to support production activities and resolve assembly coach and support Mechanical Assemblers on assembly methods workmanship standards safety requirements and process on-the-job training (OJT) and cross-training activities within the work Engineering and Quality teams with troubleshooting root cause investigations corrective actions and process production status quality concerns and operational priorities to team members and compliance with safety quality 5S and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work other duties and responsibilities as : Minimum five (5) years of mechanical assembly manufacturing HVAC industrial equipment cooling systems or electromechanical assembly experience with complex mechanical integrations copper tubing piping systems valves fittings hoses and fluid management systems to read and interpret engineering drawings assembly instructions bills of materials and technical troubleshooting assembly issues and supporting root cause ability to train mentor and support team members in a manufacturing working knowledge of hand tools power tools torque tools measuring devices and assembly computer skills and ability to work within manufacturing systems and communication organizational and problem-solving to stand walk bend and perform repetitive tasks for up to 1012 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation; mechanical lifting devices and team lifts may be utilized as needed.
