Lead Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
We are on the search for an hourly 2nd shift Lead Maintenance Technician and Leadhandfor our growing US office and manufacturing facility located inSuwanee GA. This role will be a Shift Lead hand.
Highly experienced Maintenance Technicians who have demonstrated the ability to plan and perform the repair and maintenance of building structures and all plant equipment without direction this includes the ability to read electrical prints hydraulic schematics Pneumatic schematics and blueprints. Should be proficient in sourcing information to complete the job.
Responsibilities
General Maintenance experience
Reading and interpreting drawings and written instructions
Perform Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment in the manufacturing process. Suggest and execute countermeasures to repair or prevent future downtime when possible.
Capable of using most measuring instruments
Work closely with Maintenance Manager and Safety Manager to assist in auditing equipment
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as needed
Fork Truck driving use of scissor lifts and boom lifts is required; experience is recommended
Modifying of equipment carts tools or anything pertaining to manufacturing as needed
Assisting the Maintenance manager on a as needed basis which includes but not limited to Preventative Maintenance activities
General clean-up activities
Must be able to read and speak English
Maintain proper documentation of work (Work orders PM check sheets Usage of parts)
Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a regular basis and lift 50 pounds on occasion
Must be available for Monday through Friday shift work and overtime as needed
Machining and welding experience is a plus
This position will also act as Leadhand for the 2nd shift Maintenance Team. Qualifications should include:
Exceptional leadership skills.
Ability to plan work within a work cell and direct the people to accomplish such work efficiently on schedule and with high quality.
Disciplined to assure procedures are properly followed in the work cell.
Knowledge and understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing.
Capable of effectively training new people and existing people when placing them in a new job in the areas of quality safety and productivity.
Ability to recognize safety hazards and unsafe behaviors.
