Job Title: Lead IV Clin Staff Pharmacist

Shift:36hrs/wk Rotating shifts. Per department needs.
Location: Holy Cross Health - Silver Spring MD

Position Purpose

Responsible for effecting ongoing quality productivity and efficiency in the provision of pharmaceutical services to patients requiring acute care; Oversight and implementation of intravenous processes; Ensures compliance with regulations policies and procedures and USP 797 guidelines; Ensures the use of sterile acts of preparation during the intravenous compounding process;

• Interprets and evaluates physician orders in order to prepare and dispense appropriate medications to patients at Holy Cross Hospital. Manages drug therapy of patients. Reviews accesses and maintains patient medication records and profiles for allergies drug interactions and therapeutic duplication to provide a consistent quality of patient care and appropriate drug therapy.
• Provides information to physicians nurses and patients. May assist in developing competencies for the department. Assists in the supervision of pharmacy technicians in distributive functions and departmental operations under the direction of the pharmacy operations manager. Performance demonstrates efforts to improve patient satisfaction lower costs and improve quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.

• Active Maryland Pharmacy Licensure

• Active BLS and ACLS Certification

Pay Range: $61.51- $95.37 USD Hourly

Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
