Position Summary
Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Lead Global Trade Compliance - Licensing on behalf of our client an aerospace and defense company. The lead reviews and submits trade-related license applications for the companys import and export requirements under the US Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the US Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and acts as an Empowered Official. The position can be based at any of the listed client locations works a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and involves about 30% domestic travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and submit ITAR and EAR license applications for the companys import and export requirements.
- Develop and implement guidance procedures processes and templates that support international license requirements.
- Develop and take part in trade-related training events such as webinars summits and conferences.
- Act as an Empowered Official in accordance with the ITAR.
- Support enterprise-wide trade requirements including internal monitoring compliance investigations and trade-related outreach.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned to support team objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree.
- 7 years of related experience.
- 5 years of experience with ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions.
- Experience drafting and submitting ITAR and EAR license applications.
- Prior experience as an Empowered Official or as a US Government regulator.
- Experience with OCR EASE.
- Ability to travel domestically about 30% of the time.
- Eligibility to obtain a US Secret security clearance.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Empowered Official experience within aerospace and defense.
