The Opportunity:
Are you an expert in technical problem-solving with a passion for mentoring Were looking for a Lead Field Engineer Specialist to be a critical resource for our team and customers in California/Nevada. This is a self-supervised role where youll use your expert-level technical skills to resolve complex issues and improve efficiency.
Act as the go-to subject matter expert for our products providing high-level support for installation maintenance and repair
Lead the development of training and mentorship plans for new hires and junior engineers
Use your independent judgment to analyze regional and customer needs proactively solving complex problems before during and after the installation process
Serve as a leader in managing escalations and guiding the local team through critical technical issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Provide strategic leadership and direction to your team referring only the most complex issues to senior leadership
Who You Are:
An associates degree in Electronics Information Technology Medical Technology or related field or equivalent military training is required
8 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software or networking/wireless networking OR a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Chemistry or related field plus 4 years/Masters degree in Management Biomedical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Chemistry or related field plus 2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software or networking/wireless networking
Prior experience in coaching/mentoring junior level staff
Prior leadership or lead worker experience and proven success in overseeing and guiding a work teams functional activities
Preferred Requirements:
Excellent analytical problem analysis and decision-making skills
Effective planning organizational and time management skills
Successfully completes training and certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy
Advanced knowledge of electronics electro-mechanical systems and information technology with the ability to communicate knowledge to lower-level staff
Highly effective written/verbal communication organization and prioritization skills
Highly effective customer service skills including leadership negotiation persuasion and conflict resolution skills

This is a field-based role that requires up to 60% overnight travel. This includes overnight travel throughout the week; some holidays and weekends may be required. Ideal candidate to reside in California or Nevada
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California / Nevada is $78100 - $145000 USD annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience qualifications geographic location and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
