Lead Engineer - Enterprise Applications


An established enterprise organization is hiring a hands-on technical leader to help shape and deliver business-critical software. This position combines application architecture full-stack development engineering standards and mentorship.


You will influence technical direction while remaining actively involved in implementation. The role is intended for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving difficult software problems improving how teams build and deliver applications and helping other engineers strengthen their technical judgment.


What Youll Do

  • Guide the design and development of scalable maintainable enterprise applications.
  • Contribute directly to production software across front-end and back-end components.
  • Build application features using a modern JavaScript and TypeScript environment.
  • Design service interfaces integrations and application data flows.
  • Evaluate development approaches and tools based on practical delivery needs.
  • Establish standards for code quality testing documentation and release readiness.
  • Review designs and code helping teams resolve complex implementation decisions.
  • Diagnose application performance reliability and production issues.
  • Work with product design quality and platform teams to move initiatives from requirements through delivery.
  • Improve development practices that affect engineering productivity and software quality.
  • Mentor experienced engineers through technical guidance code review and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate technical decisions clearly to both engineering and business stakeholders.


What Youll Bring

  • Ten or more years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Previous responsibility as a lead engineer principal-level contributor or application architect.
  • Strong hands-on experience building production applications with JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Experience with SQL source control automated testing CI/CD application performance analysis production monitoring secure coding and browser-based application development is valuable.
  • Experience with a current web application framework and server-side JavaScript development.
  • Strong understanding of software design service-based applications and web APIs.
  • Experience designing application data models and working with more than one type of data store.
  • Experience delivering software in a modern cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with containerized applications automated delivery and production monitoring.
  • Experience with unit integration and end-to-end testing practices.
  • A record of improving engineering standards and mentoring other developers.
  • Strong analytical communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science software engineering or a related discipline.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
